概要 翻訳
Thoth was the Egyptian god of the moon‚ wisdom‚ writing‚ sacred knowledge‚ and cosmic order‚ usually shown as an ibis-headed man or baboon․ As a lunar god‚ he measured time‚ governed the months‚ and helped keep the heavens in balance․ In myth‚ he is not chiefly a warrior but the divine scribe‚ mediator‚ and master of sacred words‚ recording the judgments of the gods and restoring order when chaos rises․ He is closely linked to Ra as the sun gods lunar counterpart and wise counselor‚ sustaining Ras cosmos through knowledge‚ speech‚ and measure‚ and he also aids Isis in the Osiris cycle and records the weighing of the heart against Maat in the judgment of the dead․
