Bill grew up with Mona in St Helenas orphanage․ They preformed sadistic acts such as harming the other children․ One of these children is actually Dr․ Fred Baker who lived with them in St Helenas․ After leaving the orphanage‚ he met a woman named Mia‚ eventually getting married to her and having two children‚ named Angel and Isabela․ But he still met up with Mona to have sex sometimes․ Some day after becoming a police officer‚ but shortly before his disappearance‚ he found a Self Portrait painting within his home‚ unsure of how it got there․ But it is implied he may have planted it himself as he was working with Mona the whole time․ He and his family went missing soon after․ Angel was killed by their abductor‚ Mona Lanius‚ and the rest of the surviving family were taken to an abandoned lighthouse by Mona․ There‚ they were drugged with amphetamines‚ ending the Collins family in a horrific way‚ their remains later found mangled and unrecognizable inside of a barrel․ Mona Lanius decided to spare Bill because she considered them siblings while in the orphanage․ And because Bill was in cahoots with Mona the whole time․ But the man was then tortured by Lanius‚ his face being cut off and drastically deteriorating Bill's appearance․ Being forced into a BDSM suit‚ made to eat male genitalia‚ drink human urine and sexually assaulted by his captor‚ his mind was eventually broken by the killer․ Though in the final episode‚ when Mona is interviewed‚ she claims that everything done to Bill was consensual‚ showing that Bill derived sexual pleasure from the torture inflicted upon him․
